Mixed reactions as Kanye West Declares his candidacy for the presidency of the United States.

Kanye Omari West, otherwise simply known as Kanye West, has made it official by announcing his interest to contest for the presidency of the United States.

In a tweet on his twitter handle, Kanye said, “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States”. There were swift reactions from many of his 29.4 Million twitter followers. Within 2 hours of his tweet, there were more than 240k retweets and 420k reactions respectively.

If Kanye’s twitter followers together with that of the Kardashian family were a voting bloc, he would be a shoe in to the presidency, however, his candidacy maybe good for media consumption. America is not ready for another celebrity joke, more so, for a rapper by the name Kanye West.

Kanye has openly supported
President Donald Trump since Trump announced a run for presidency in 2016. Him
and his wife have been frequent guests at the white house. In October,2018, Kanye
