Between November 1st and 22nd, 4 million orders passed through Senior Sistemas’ logistics management solutions. The record in a single day was over 280 thousand orders. Thus, so far, the 2021 Black Friday has already grown by 9.6% compared to the same period in 2020, when around 3 million orders were registered by the company.

The National Confederation of Commerce of Goods, Services and Tourism (CNC) projects growth of 4.9% for retail in 2021. The good results are related to the support of logistical innovations such as the warehouse management system (WMS), which can even help to clear errors in shipping products.

Anderson Benetti, head of logistics product at Senior Sistemas, remembers that the delivery time that used to be days has now become hours. “Retailers, e-commerces and marketplaces, sometimes all three in a single company, seek to have the best delivery logistics so that the order arrives before the customer.”

Faster and faster deliveries provide an experience similar to buying in a physical store, but with the convenience of home. And technologies go beyond agile delivery. “We were able to reduce the margin of error throughout the entire process: from purchase to delivery. This directly affects the companies’ cash and the relationship with the customer.”

The executive remembers that it is common that, every Black Friday, companies evaluate successes and errors. Based on this analysis, retailers look for companies specialized in management technology. The specialist emphasizes that this is also due to the demands for customization of software, new licenses or expansion of the use of solutions for new warehouses.
