Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has given a hint that Jubilee Party might have stolen votes in the last two general elections in Kenya. The outspoken lawmaker who resurfaced yesterday since Friday is allied to Deputy President William Samoei Ruto.
On his recent Facebook post, the MP publicly appreciated Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) party leader Raila Odinga, rare circumstance. Raila a common self-proclaimed ‘Baba’ complained about votes rigging since 2007, a battle that caused mysterious violence. “I have always been in denial that we didnt steal the 2013 and 2017 elections. Today its almost clear. Congratulations belatedly Baba.” Kuria stated on Monday.
Kuria’s post came barely after President Uhuru Kenyatta made major changes in Jubilee Party leadership. Elgeiyo Marakwet Senator’s seat was replaced by KANU senator Samuel Poghisio. Chief Whip seat formally owned by Nakuru senator Susan Kihika was given to Irungu Kang’ata, a Jubilee Party member.
Earlier on, Dp Ruto had claimed the country is fighting with coronavirus asking for togetherness. “Good people, we are in the middle of Covid19 pandemic, destructive floods and ravaging locust invasion.Many who have lost work, income and livelihood are desperate and hungry. Let us reach out with food and all kind of support; let us do it individually where we can and collectively as GoK.” Ruto posted
