Mudavadi attack on labour movement a show of his insecurities

Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary-General Francis Atwoli says Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi is in the business of bringing down his party to cause total destruction to both his supporters and opponents.

In a statement Monday, Atwoli says Mudavadi is bitter about his inability not to change circumstances around them and thus result in self-destruction.

“This explains why he was dragging my name and that of COTU (K) in his speech that was written by our arch-enemies yesterday,” said Atwoli.

“However, his insecurities and his ability to exaggerate his low abilities in an attempt to paint an image of a strong man has boomeranged on him leaving him with an egg on the face as witnessed yesterday. Listening to the speech by Mudavadi, yesterday, one wouldn’t help but feel and touch the mockery and contradiction that his speech was,” added Atwoli.

He said Mudavadi is just interested in nothing but power.

He said while Mudavadi was serving as Fiance Minister in 1994 he sneaked into the Finance Act of 1994 the redundancy clause which has caused many Kenyan workers to suffer.

” Kenyan workers listening to Mudavadi, yesterday, waited in earnest to hear solutions to the problems facing Kenyans only to hear a speech devoid of any serious agenda but vitriol,” he noted.

“Much disturbing is the fact that Mudavadi is so naive that he doesn’t seem to understand how the labour movement in Kenya works and that the Secretary General of COTU (K) is not the Minister in charge of Labour nor Treasury to blame me for the performance of the Labour sector and the economy.   COTU (K) is equally neither an employer nor a government parastatal that, Mudavadi’s, in his daydreams of becoming president, can change its leadership,” said Atwoli.

He said Kenyans were treated to an Oscar-winning show on Sunday when Mudavadi invited Ruto to his NDC without the knowledge of his other OKA principles.

” How then can Mudavadi talk about the politics of betrayal, dishonesty and deceit while he himself cannot be trusted? Was he not pointing a finger on himself considering he went behind the backs of OKA principles to make a deal with Ruto without their knowledge? ” He asked.

If these two parties are not Political Commercial Kiosks, Mudavadi should come out and refute the rumor that Ruto gave him 300 million shillings to build his Karen home.

As Francis Atwoli, I can account for everything that I have considering everything that I own is out of my hard earned allowances and wages. Where does Musalia, who is not employed, not an industrialist nor with a known business, get his money other than engaging in political conman ship using his Kiosk? ANC party.

He said that anyone associating with Musalia in western Kenya will not be elected in the region come August.

“We will not, we must not, and we will never allow it our people to be auctioned by political merchants.”
