Comedian David Oyando aka Kendrick Mulamwah has literally manifested to his social media followers that art is paying.
Posting on Instagram, Mulamwah showed off Ksh700,000 he says were savings from payments his comic works.
“Handwork pays,” he said.
The funnyman revealed that he will use the money to purchase his first piece of land.
“God is faithful. Today I’m buying my first piece of land. I will continue doing comedy so that I get money to build my own house,” he said.
He encouraged his fans to continue chasing their dreams, saying success is a process and not an event.
In April 2020, the entertainer quit comedy after going through cyber-bullying.
He event razed his trademark shirt.
However, fellow artistes comforted him and asked him to relaunch himself.
He heeded to the advise, making a comeback weeks later.
Since then, he has never looked back and seems to have developed a thick skin against trolls.
