Mum shares simple trick to clean your microwave without having to scrub it

Whilst microwaves are one of the handiest items in the kitchen, it’s often overlooked when it comes to cleaning.

The odd angles and small gaps makes it incredibly time-consuming and tedious to clean – but not anymore as one woman shares her simple hack for blitzing your microwave in no time at all.

The savvy cleaner uploaded the video to her TikTok account where she shares a variety of handy life hacks, and other cleaning fanatics were obsessed with it.

She captioned the post: “No more scrubbing” – that’s exactly what we liked to hear.

So if your microwave is crying out for a little bit of TLC, look no further.

All you need for this super simple hack is water and dishwashing detergent.

In a jug, the lady adds one cup water to one teaspoon detergent and mixes well.

Then she pops the jug into her microwave, and switches the setting on for four minutes.

She then recommends leaving it to sit in the microwave for a further four minutes before opening the door.

Then with a cloth – she appears to be using one which is a microfiber material –  she gently gives the microwave the once over.

In seconds you can see the dirt and grime slide right off.

She explains: “The steam environment softens all the stubborn, baked-on food and makes it very easy to clean.”

The video received hundreds of likes and praise from like-minded savvy cleaners, with one person commenting: “Wow thank you!!”?
