Muthee Kiengei Loses His Dad, Whom He Gave The Best Life: ‘A Dull Christmas’

Top Kenyan comedian Benson Gathungu aka Muthee Kiengei is a heartbroken this evening.

This is after losing his beloved father, Mzee Toria.

The radio presenter confirmed the sad news via his social media platforms.

“It is well Pastor Ben, a dull Christmas. Mzee Toria: 1932-2021,” he wrote.

Mzee Toria has been unwell for a couple and his celebrity son has been asking for prayers from his fans and updating about his recovery.

“Are you praying tonight?? Please mention our family in your prayers and God will bless you,Mention my Dad Mzee Toria in your prayers,” he wrote on December 14.

Kiengei, who lost his mother to cancer a few years ago, made his father’s sunset years the best.

He would visit him regularly in Nakuru County and occasionally involve him in his comedy skits.

Last year, he made the old man shed tears of joy after buying a Toyota Prado car.

“God bless you Gathungu. May you always enjoy the fruits of your labour,” he prayed.

The funnyman has been encouraging Kenyans to take care of their parents and make them happy to receive blessings.

“Create good memories with the people you Love Most,the nice moments you laughed with them,shared a meal,spoke to each other will replace their times of downness.

“When they can’t do what you used to do together,you will hear the sounds in the Memories.”
