Jimi Wanjigi and his running mate Willis Otieno have told residents in Siaya County that they are aiming at forming an all-inclusive government focusing on the youth should they win the polls slated for August 9.
Wanjigi and Otieno while speaking at St. John’s Anglican Church, Ng’iya during a church service reiterated their campaign pillar of economic growth telling the congregants that it was time for young people to take charge of the country’s top leadership.
Wanjigi also promised the residents of Siaya that he will revive the economy and create employment for the young people in Kenya who remain jobless despite several promises by the government.
“It is an injustice for 63 in every 100 people to go hungry daily, an increase from 38 people a time like this 12 years ago,” said Wanjigi.
In addition, the Safina presidential hopeful gave his word to overhaul the education system which he describes as ‘non-working’ for parents, students and teachers, saying they (parents) were never called upon to approve of it.

In a presser shortly after the church service, the Safina party duo condemned politicians for using hired goons to heckle, attack and cause chaos during political rallies convened by their competitors.
“If you do not like what a certain politician is saying or stands for, go home, leave them. The community here knows me very well, that is why I do not fear coming here and asking for votes. It is the right of every Kenyan as spelt out in our constitution,” Wanjigi noted.
On his part, Otieno told the Siaya residents that “the economic liberation of our country has begun. The last ten years have been nothing but pain. And the tomorrow we promised the youth is here. Politics is about ideas, let our ideas compete, those attacking competitors are hired by a resistance movement of those who have benefitted from the last ten years of pain and plunder”.
The Safina presidential aspirant is set to address several rallies in the larger Siaya and Homa Bay counties Sunday and in the coming days.
