Deputy President William Ruto now claims that the “deep state” is interfering with the voters’ data to manipulate the August presidential election.

Speaking to European Union (EU) ambassadors this morning at the his official Karen residence, the DP alleged that more than one million voters have disappeared from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) register.

He claimed that those deregistered are from his strongholds.

“We don’t believe they will succeed, but these is a major concern for us. We want you to try and get details about this issue from deep state agents,” he said.

The second in command lamented that some powerful civil servants have hatched a plot to rig him out.

“Some public officers are going against the oath they took and violating the constitution. We have seen them declaring that our competitor (Raila Odinga) will win,” he said.

He took issue with ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru for repeatedlty saying that he was in charge of data and already knows the presidential winner.

The DP said such sentiments were dangerous and undermines democracy.

Mucheru is on record as saying that Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s victory will be resounding.

However, he maintains that his job will be to protect Raila’s votes and not to rig anyone.

On Sunday, Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho stated that the National Intelligence Service (NIS) has established that the former Prime Minister enjoys a 60 percent support among Kenyans.

“Let Ruto and his brigade continue making noise. Our data is showing that Raila will win very early in the morning. This is a sure bet,” he said.
