Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is back to whipping emotions in Mt Kenya in a renewed effort to deny ODM leader Raila Odinga a slice of the votes in the region.

Speaking in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s home village, Ichaweri in Gatundu South, Kiambu County, Kuria warned the residents against electing an uncircumcised man.

In claim disgusting claim, the controversial lawmaker stated that founding President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta administered an oath to dwellers of Mt Kenya that they should never vote for any person who has not faced the knife.

“Athuri mwire andu aya anini ati guku tutiguthura ihii. Kenyatta atunyuithire muma akiuga tutigathura kihii. Turakireherwo kihii niki? (Elders in Mt Kenya should tell the youths that we must not vote uncircumcised boys. Kenyatta made us take an oath that we will never elect a boy. Why is a boy being forced on us?” he posed.

He added that President Uhuru Kenyatta risks a curse from his father Jomo for misleading his community.

“Uhuru is going against his father’s wish by supporting Raila Odinga and he knows what Kenyatta said. We took an oath that will never support Raila for the presidency and that is why I am behind Ruto,” the President MP’s said.

Uhuru’s cousin, Captain Kungu Muigai recently confirmed that the oath Kuria is citing was taken, but insisted that the Head of State has nothing to do with it.

“At that time, Uhuru was just eight years, so stop dragging him in things he does not know about. The oath was taken by men who were 18 years and above,” he said.

In the meantime, Kuria is synonymous with spewing venom against Raila.

Before the 2017 General Election, he came under heavy criticism and was even investigated after making sentiments almost similar to what he said today.
