New Covid-19 Cases Rise to 254,215 as 64 More Test Positive

Kenya has recorded 64 new Covid-19 cases from 4,790 samples tested in the last 24 hours. This has raised the national tally to 254,215.

There have so far been 2,761,828 cumulative tests. The Covid-19 positivity rate stands at 1.3 per cent.

Of the new cases, 57 are Kenyans, while seven are foreigners. 38 males and 26 are females. The youngest is a five-year-old baby and the oldest is 94 years.

Some 47 patients have recovered from the disease, 30 from the Home-Based Isolation and Care program while 17 are from health facilities countrywide. The total number of recoveries now stands at 247,574.

Unfortunately, one patient has succumbed to the disease pushing the cumulative fatalities to 5,316.

There are 396 patients currently admitted to various health facilities countrywide, while 1,044 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

At the same time, 31 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 15 of whom are on ventilatory support and 16 on supplemental oxygen. No patient is under observation.

Another 108 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen with 107 of them are in the general wards. One patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

Vaccination: As of 11th November 2021, a total of 5,893,466 vaccines had so far been administered across the country. Of these, 3,861,136 were partially vaccinated while those fully vaccinated were 2,032,330.
