Private hospitals have abandoned plans to deny medical services to National Hospital Insurance Fund card holders. The hospitals have agreed with NHIF to find a middle ground on some of the contentious issues that had informed the planned action. And as Ruth Wamboi reports, the agreement comes a relief to thousands of Kenyans who depend on the cover for services such as dialysis.
