‘No one should judge me and I will not take it lightly!’ Babu Owino claims DJ Evolve is still a close friend

Finally, Babu Owino has addressed the elephant in the room, DJ Evolves health and how his hospital bill is being settled.

Kenyans stood with DJ Evolve after the video of the incidence at a popular club in Galana Plaza leaked.

Babu Owino was taken to court where he denied the attempted murder charges and later his bail terms was reviewed after he requested for a review.

He was to pay 10 million in installments and the money was to cater for DJ Evolves hospital bill.

Then a judge directed that Babu will only help settle DJ Evolve’s hospital bill as a moral obligation.

“The accused person should continue paying the hospital bill as a moral duty to him, not as a court order…if he fails to pay it is up to him and his court,” Justice Kimaru said.

Speaking in an interview with Jalang’o on Jalango Mwenyewe, he was put on the hot seat to answer the concerns of Kenyans.

“Are you paying his hospital bills?” Jalang’o asked

To which Babu Owino answered,

Yes, I am the one paying the bills. In fact, as we speak DJ Evolve has been discharged from the hospital he is just waiting to be taken home. The reason why he is not yet home is because of the coronavirus situation because things can get bad on his way or at home because of the interaction. That is what the family is working on.

Jalang’o followed up asking,

Are you communicating with his family?

“Yes, we are in communication and Jalas I must say is number one, there is no saint without a past. Number two I would not want to dwell on the past because I can’t change the past but change the future. Everything else that happened is between me and God and I chose to forgive myself ” Babu andwered

In shock, Jalang’o interpreted and said

No. You can not choose to forgive yourself Babu because people are saying I am hosting you because we are friends and all I am doing is sanitizing you and make him look good. I am not here to make you look good my friend. We are here to speak the truth and nothing but the truth. So DJ Evolves bills you are paying because they had hit 15 million?

To which Babu answered yes.

As we speak he has been discharged he is just waiting to go home? To which Babu responded ‘yes’. 

Jalang’o then went further to ask on the terms of paying as per the court order.

There is a time the court had said that you do not have to pay only if you are willing to pay. Is it true?

Babu Owino defended himself saying,

Number one, this matter should not be discussed beyond the court but as Babu Owino on humanitarian or moral grounds, I agreed to settle the bills because DJ Evolve is a very good and personal friend. And no man or no woman should come between us. Everyone has their place full and no man is righteous before God so no one should judge me and I will not take it lightly.

Now we wait to hear DJ Evolve’s side of the story hopefully it matches Babu Owino and we hope he will recover soon and be back to his day to day life.
