Nominated MP David Sankok’s son shoots himself dead

Nominated MP David Ole Sankok’s first born son shot himself dead at his father’s home in Narok on Monday.

Reports indicate he used his father’s gun to commit the incident.

He was a Form 4 student at Maseno High School. DCI officers are at the scene collecting forensic evidence to start investigations. The body is yet to be retrieved from the home.

The father was not home when the boy shot himself and it’s not clear how he accessed the firearm that should have been properly secured.

Sources indicate that son and father have been having differences over his academic performance.
