Oka Chiefs Kalonzo and Gideon Moi Explain Why They Stormed Out of Mudavadi’s ‘Earthquake’ Event

One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and KANU chairman Gideon Moi have explained why they decided to dump Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi’s earthquake meeting minutes after putting in an appearance.

In a statement sent to the press by OKA spokesperson Fredric Okango, OKA chiefs said that they discontinued their attendance after the event was graced by Deputy President William Ruto and his allies.

“We (OKA) have today walked out of Mudavadi’s ‘earthquake’ meeting. Our principals, Hon Kalonzo Musyoka and Hon Gideon Moi, out of respect, honoured his invitation as a co-principal to attend the Bomas event and congratulated him for being nominated by his party to go and look for more friends.”

The duo confirmed that they have officially ditched Mudavadi and are now looking for new political companionship that suits their vision because Mudavadi had betrayed them for DP Ruto.

“Unfortunately, we have to part ways since some of his friends are not our friends, and we are unsafe with them. We are therefore moving to higher grounds where Kenyans are safer. It is time to move forward. It is time to end the nasty political games.” read the statement.

“We would like to wish Hon. Mudavadi, the best of luck as he joins his other partners. There is no room for damages,” the statement further read.

Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala told off the two leaders for pulling out of their meeting, pointing out that ANC delegates had attended their meeting despite inviting their political archrival Raila Odinga.

The earthquake has already claimed two victims. I was very shocked that they got angry because we invited our friends,” Malala stated.
