OKA to Announce Its Presidential Candidate in January 2022

One Kenya Alliance (OKA) has said that it will unveil its Presidential candidate in January 2022.

Speaking to journalists in Bungoma town, OKA co-principal and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula said that all plans are set, and they are only tasked to declare their ideal candidate come next year.

“Forget about the naysayers who think that OKA is moving too slowly, good coalitions and good preparations for elections are never done in a hurry. We have promised Kenyans that by the end of January, we will be unveiling our candidate,” he said.

Wetangula stated that the parties under OKA have picked a special team that works towards the unveiling of the candidate, who will be considered a prime contestant fit to battle out with other Presidential hopefuls such as Deputy President William Ruto and former premier Raila Odinga in the 2022 General Elections.

In a bid to drum up support ahead of 2022, Wetangula urged Kenyans to vote OKA for them to realize growth in the post-2022 economy as the coalition will prioritize boosting the income of the citizens when it ascends to power.

“OKA is focused on rejuvenating our economy, uniting the country, making sure that the country is at peace not only by itself but with its neighbors enshrining the East African community as the bedrock of our economic growth,” said Wetang’ula.

Further, the outspoken Senator noted that his Ford Kenya Party is ready for 2022, and it will unveil its elections board soon. The election board will be tasked with ensuring that the party nominations are free and fair and open to all contestants seeking various political seats before the elections.

He noted that the current changes in the helm of the party leadership have helped in its modus operandi, and the party is very vibrant, now that it has a new Secretary-General Kiminini lawmaker Chris Wamalwa.

“We are done with the party National Delegates Conference (NDC), we expelled enemies, and we are now ready to go,”

“I want to laud Ford Kenya fraternity for standing with the party throughout the year, during the difficult times from people of ill will, persons whose mission was to destroy the party and move on, they failed in their tracks and have since moved on, and the party remains strong, vibrant and focused to the future,” Wetangula said.
