One Kenya Alliance (OKA) co-principal and Ford Kenya party leader, Moses Wetangula, has assured Kenyans that they will offer free university education if their coalition clinches the Presidency in 2022.

He was speaking at a rally in Thika on December 19, alongside co-principals Musalia Mudavadi of Amani National Congress (ANC), Kalonzo Musyoka of Wiper Party, and Gideon Moi of Kenya African National Union (KANU).

“Just as Kibaki (third President Mwai Kibaki) introduced free primary education, we shall stretch it further to University.”

Wetangula then stated that Oka’s Government will ensure quality and affordable healthcare for all Kenyans through National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) by making it affordable for the “mama mboga”.

“We shall prioritize medical covers for everyone under the NHIF to enable Kenyans access quality healthcare at an affordable rate,” the Senator for Bungoma County stated.

In a tactical move to woo Mount Kenya voters, Wetangula claimed that he was the chief peacemaker who invited mediators when Kenya was struggling with post-election violence in 2007.

“When the post-election violence happened, I brought mediators Koffi Annan (former United Nations Secretary-General), Jakaya Kikwete (former Tanzania President) and John Kuffuor (former Ghana President) who helped us restore peace,”

Subsequently, Kalonzo Musyoka in his speech asked President Uhuru Kenyatta and former premier Raila Odinga to absent themselves from politics ahead of the 2022 General Elections.

“When our friend Uhuru Kenyatta goes home next year, he needs to tag along with his partner Raila Odinga. I and my friends in OKA have not fallen out with anyone. We’ll ensure the country is heading in the right direction.”

Raila Odinga in his tour in Trans Nzoia on November 20, 2021, promised to offer an entirely free package of education from nursery to university.

“Every child born in this country will have an equal opportunity from nursery, primary secondary to university. The funds that are always looted belong to you, hence I promise to seal all those loopholes and channel the funds to my education plan,” he stated.
