Over 10,000 students in Rarieda constituency will benefit from a bursary kitty courtesy of the area constituency development fund.

According to the area Member of Parliament, Otiende Amollo, the beneficiaries will benefit from Ksh. 15.6 million during the current government financial year.

Speaking at Rachar secondary school in West Uyoma, the legislator said the number of beneficiaries has been growing from 4,200 in 2017 to the current 10,000.

He assured Rarieda constituency residents that the CDF committee will ensure fairness in the disbursement, adding that no needy student will be left out.

Otiende however warned officials responsible for the bursary kitty and headteachers against fraudulent deals and urged anybody who would be approached for kickbacks by the officials to report to the police.
