Police officer shoots colleague to death in Laikipia

A policeman killed his colleague in Dol Dol, Laikipia County on Tuesday night, following an argument.
Area County Commissioner Daniel Nyameti said the incident occurred on Tuesday at the police line where two officers were sharing a house.

“The officer was reported to have shot dead his colleague Leonard Ojwang at Doldol Police Station. He has since gone into hiding and we are looking for him,” said Mr Nyameti.
It was not clear why the officer killed his colleague or what the argument was about.
“The officer is on the run, and he is still armed with an AK 47 assigned to him,” said Nyameti.
The body has been moved to Nanyuki County Hospital mortuary.
