Radio Personality Shaffie Weru Mourns The Loss of 3 Family Members in a Day

Former Homeboyz Radio presenter Shaffie Weru is in deep sorrow and mourning. Tuesday, 27th July, was a sad day for Shaffie after he lost his three uncles, Abdallah, Rama, and Marko in one day. The renowned media personality did not disclose what caused their deaths but only reached for an Islamic prayer for their departed souls to rest in peace. 

Taking to his Insta stories, he wrote: “I have lost three people in the last 24 hours. There’s no ifs in God’s world and no places are safer than other places. The centre of His will is our only safety. Let us pray that we may always know it @ Inalilahiwainailaihirojiun # Uncle Abdallah # Uncle Ramaross and #Uncle Marcko.”

Still in disbelief and shock about the heart-breaking news he wrote: “Death takes the body. God takes the soul. Our mind holds the memories. Our hearts keep the love. Our faith lets us know we will meet again.”

This must be the toughest year ever for Shaffie, who several months ago lost his job alongside some colleagues over insensitive remarks they made about women on their live broadcast show.

Commenting on the matter,he said they were not given a chance to defend themselves. 

“It happened so fast. They did not take time to find out what the story was all about. Only a part of the conversation was picked up by fans, and others. Kenyans betrayed me,” he lamented. 

However, the sacking does not seem to have seriously affected his pockets as he recently bought his daughter a Jeep as a birthday present.
