Jalango on Kiss FM: Morning radio presenter at Kiss FM has announced that he will leave his radio job in the next five months. Mzee Jalas said that he will leave his radio job in February 2022 in order to concentrate on his campaign for the Lang’ata parliamentary seat in the 2022 General Elections.
Jalang’o made this revelation during an interview with Massawe Jappanni on Radio Jambo’s ‘Bustani la Massawe’. “On February date 9 next year, I will quit my radio job. I will miss my mic, but when I go to parliament, I will open Bunge FM,” he said.
In 2020, Jalang’o had said that his job at Kiss FM would be his last radio job. He revealed that he had plans to venture out on his own after starting his highly successful YouTube show known as Bonga na Jalas. “This is my final journey on radio because I have started my own things. I plan to have my media and I started Jalang’o TV on YouTube,” he said.
Jalas added that he received a call from Radio Maisha but chose to go to Kiss 100 because that is where his radio journey began and he was returning home to end it there.
On his bid for the Lang’ata MP’s seat, Jalang’o said that he was motivated by the need to fill in the gap between service provision and the common man’s needs. ”It is hard for a common mwananchi to bring that change we are all looking for but not for a politician. It is easy to bring that change if you are in politics and not out,” he said.
I am broke and can only pay Sh. 500 child support, says Moi’s grandson
He explained that his main one will be to fight corruption. ”My slogan is ‘Utu wa Watu’, I am so humane and that is what people should understand. Once you are humane, you will not squander funds allocated for development. Corruption is what I want to deal with first.”
