Raila promises to prioritize agriculture if elected President

Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga has pledged to prioritize Agriculture should the Azimio la Umoja coalition form the next government.

The Azimio flagbearer who ended a four-day tour of Western Kenya region said his government will create an enabling environment for smart Agriculture to thrive to boost the country’s food security.

The Azimio la Umoja Presidential flag bearer said if elected, his government will create an enabling environment for farmers, as he sought to woo the over two million registered voters in the former Western Kenya region.

Raila said in his administration will address the high cost of farm inputs to spur production of food.

The ODM party leader while promising to lower the prices of basic commodities, took a swipe at his opponents in Kenya Kwanza that he said have nothing to offer Kenyans.

Western Kenya leaders who accompanied Raila took issue with ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford-Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula over remarks attributed to tem to the effect that  the ODM leader had neglected the region in matters development.
