Today, on Sunday, January 23, Musalia Mudavadi makes an announcement hyped as ‘Earthquake’, which is speculated to change the political game ahead of 2022 polls set for August.

Mudavadi started by acknowledging Deputy President William Ruto and his allies who had graced the event, which was packed to capacity by ANC delegates from several parts of the country.

Starting his speech, Mudavadi pointed out that the event is themed Tusidanganyane as Kenyans need to be told the truth by political leaders who have always defrauded Kenyans with fake promises.

“We are assembled here of what is going to be remembered as the most defining moment in the history of the Kenyan nation. Gatherings of this kind do not take place on Sundays, this is the first one. Thank you for setting aside time to be part of this event.”

“Fellow Kenyans, ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here to turn the will and history of this country. The story and experience of Kenya must turn. Today’s assembly is different from others because we intend to turn the will of this county.”

“It is true, let’s not lie. For so long, Kenyans have lived in deceit, and those in leadership have failed to live to the words that leave their mouth. When making promises, especially electorate promises, our words erupt into meaningless vapor.”

“We must tell Kenyans that country is at risk of being auctioned by international lenders. For instance, when we ask to be told about SGR, a state infrastructure project, we are told in affidavits filed by the government in court that it is a state secret, a national security risk. Our debt has become a matter of our national security. Kenya risks losing sovereignty from reckless borrowing to fund corruption. We must tell the truth. These people are eating the country. They are the real thieves in the country.”

“We must reject political projects and sinister schemes in this year’s elections. We are tired. I refuse to board the boat of lies. I was not trained to lie.”

More to follow.
