Liverpool and Senegalese football star, Sadio Mane is currently building the largest hospital in Senegal to help address the health crisis in the country.
He said that he was inspired by the death of his father and the uffering of many of Senegal people.
Mane has been known to be giving back to the poor and his community as he builds a school, mosque and hospital.
According to Mvslimfeed, he spent his holiday season to inspect the construction works that were going on the projects in Bambali.
Aside from the building works, he is also giving funds to many humanitarian projects, some of which had gulped $250,000 (N90,375,000)
Sadio Mane has always given back to his community as he executes humanitarian projects. Mane is a very humble person and was seen some time ago cleaning the toilet in a Liverpool mosque to improve the place’s hygiene condition for all worshipers.
Sadio Mane is renowned in his home area for giving out football kits for free to children and for also providing families with money.
He also paid for a hospital in the village, and now is he on to buidling a school. Here is a man who never forgets his roots no matter his station and progress in life.
Twitter users were moved by Mane’s heartwarming gesture. One user wrote, “Great to see footballers doing great things off the pitch and thinking of others rather than being self-centred.”
Sadio Mane has also shown incredible generosity to his native Senegal amid the coronavirus outbreak.
He donated Sh 5.1 million (£41,000) to Senegalese health authorities fighting coronavirus in his home country.
Mane’s agent shared a twitter video of the Liverpool forward urging his Senegalese compatriots to take the virus ‘extremely seriously’ and also to wash and disinfect their hands to prevent the virus from spreading.
The agent revealed that Mane decided to make the donation ‘spontaneously when he saw the evolution of the situation’.
