Section of Busia MCAs endorse Senator Wako for Governors seat

A section of Busia County MCAs have unanimously endorsed Senator Amos Wako as their preferred candidate for the Governor’s seat in the next general elections.

Led by County Assembly Majority Leader Kassaman Akesa, the MCAs stated that Wako possess great leadership attributes and is the best person to lead the County.

They lauded Senator Wako for his contribution in the Senate and empowering devolution imploring him to offer himself for the gubernatorial position next year.

The MCAs said Busia County has not achieved its full potential and only Wako with his network can take the County to the next level.

They vowed to traverse the County to popularize his bid once he has made the declaration.

Wako remained non-committal on whether he will seek the position saying he will first consult ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga, and other ODM stakeholders before making the final decision by the end of January.
