Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua is turning 51 years today, August 22, 2021.

Among the people who have sent him a happy birthday message is his recently divorced wife Lilian Ng’ang’a.

She did not have much to say, but in a brief note on Instagram, she wished him a long life.

“Cheers to 51 and another 51 cheers. Happy birthday,” she wrote.

Mutua’s birthday party is currently happening at Emara Hotel Ole Sereni.

The county boss worked together with Tanzanian top Bongo musician Rayvanny, who is also marking his birthday, to host a joint party.

The double birthday party and concert is attending well-known celebrities and politicians including ODM leader Raila, radio presenter Maina Kageni and comedian Daniel Ndambuki aka Churchill.

Lilian is also among the invitees and in one of the photos Litkenya.com has seen, the former lovebirds can be spotted having a word with the ODM boss. They were very attentive.

Mutua and Lilian announced last Sunday that their 10-year marriage had ended.

They both appreciated each other for the good memories created during their relationship.

“Winds of change blew my way and two months ago, I decided to end my long-term relationship with Dr. Alfred Mutua. We have a good run and I’m forever grateful to God he brought us together. We remain friends,” she said.

For his part, Mutua said: “Lilian and I have been a blessing to each other. Two months ago, we decided to slowly disengage. We are on amicable terms and remain very close as friends. We will continue to talk, meet and share ideas constantly. I am a happy and blessed man and we have agreed we will protect and support each other.”

The two, however, failed to reveal what triggered their breakup.
