Seven Killed in Grisly Road Crash Along Narok-Bomet Road

At least seven people have perished in a grisly road accident involving a lorry and a 14-seater matatu along the Narok-Bomet road.

The accident happened on Friday, 3rd June in Silanka area at around 1 pm.

It involved a 14-seater Matatu belonging to Ena Coach Company, which was heading towards Nairobi, and a lorry heading towards Bomet town.

Five people including the driver of the matatu died on the spot while two succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Narok county referral hospital.

Five of the survivors are receiving treatment at the same hospital.

The bodies of the victims have been preserved at Narok Hospital Morgue.

The accident comes barely two weeks after another grisly accident happened along the Mai Mahiu-Narok Highway where eight mourners lost their lives after a van they were travelling in rammed head-on into a lorry near Mafuta Taa centre.
