Your bedroom is your haven, that place where you love spending time in. It represents your personality. It is also the place where you keep many of the things you like. As a result, it may end up having an accumulation of items which have exhausted their use. You probably buy new items from time to time. From the make-up palate you spotted having awesome colors to your fiftieth pairs of sneakers. In the long run, this fills up space they shouldn’t.
Some of the things you should begin getting rid of your bedroom may include:

Old makeup
It’s not hard to spot old make-up. It crumbles and loses its glitter. All those tubes and cans of make-up you keep only clutter the room. Unless you are intending to recycle your make-up cans, gather them all up and put them in the dustbin.
Worst case scenario, you may have expired make-up and mistaken it for the good one. Save yourself the trouble and dispose.

Stacks of magazines and books you’ve read
Sometimes it often feels like a show off of sorts, having our own library of books and magazines close to the bedside. Being totally honest, you’ve probably read all that material over and over again, such that you’ve crammed all the content. Why then keep them in your bedroom? Already read books and magazines are of no use piling up in your room. You can instead offer them for recycling.

Clothes you intend to give away
Are you guilty of procrastinating giving away your old clothes to charity? As a result, the clothes keep piling up and occupying lots of space that should be free. If your clothes are not for your use anymore, fold them nicely for once and donate them for good. Don’t hold on to clothes you don’t wear or don’t intend to in the near future.

Outdated technology gadgets

Technology is changing at such a top speed that if you keep up with it, you probably have a lot of outdated items. Those discs you have are now replaced by a whole array of movies to choose from in Netflix. The telephone is way bypassed by the touch screens we have all over. Unless you intend to be a collector, dispose those gadgets. Even so, as a collector, choose another room aside from your bedroom, to keep those items.

Shoes you don’t wear
Women and shoes. Quite inseparable. Consequently, your room is filled with many old shoes, many of which you don’t like anymore and can’t be spotted wearing. If kept for long, without polishing or cleaning, you’ll realise that the shoes will only start getting mould. To avoid the hustle, trim down your shoes closet to the shoes you need. Donate the rest or remove them from your bedroom altogether.

Old pillows that don’t bounce back
Pillows that have stopped being puffy have lost their role in the bedroom. They tend to break apart and can be the biggest cause of your stiff necks. Check your bedding often and dispose the pillows that have lost their fluffiness.
Choose to declutter your bedroom so as to create a more relaxed atmosphere. When winding down your day, being in a free and spacious place contributes to better sleep.
