Media mogul SK Macharia got candid with his long-time friend ODM leader Raila Odinga and served him a bitter pill.

Speaking during a church service that was also attended by the former Prime Minister, his allies, and a section of Mt Kenya leaders loyal to President Kenyatta in Murang’a, Macharia stated the Raila main competitor in the 2022 presidential race, apparently, Deputy President William Ruto was ahead of him.

The businessman noted that the ground was hostile to the opposition boss.

“To Jeremiah Kioni (Ndaragwa MP), don’t say that you will push Raila’s agenda gently. You must start as early as now,” he said.

He asserted that his comment was guided by the intelligence he gets as an owner of the biggest media houses in Kenya.

He also praised the opposition leader for agreeing to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The business magnate said the March 9, 2018 ‘Handshake’ between the two leaders has stabilised the country, politically and economically.

In the past, Macharia has openly said that Raila won the 2007 elections with a huge and the miracles that the then electoral commission did to declare Mwai Kibaki the winner remain a mystery.

In also backed the ODM chief in the 2013 and 2017 elections.
