Solutions Developer at BSK Global Technologies

Overall Purpose

As a Solutions Developer in our Technological Solutions team, you will be challenged with a wide range of tasks;

• design, development and maintenance of our solution development. You will be responsible for designing,
• developing and testing high-performance, intuitive, data-driven ESBs, APIs, USSDs, Web and mobile applications.

Main Responsibilities

• Execute full lifecycle software development
• Design and develop new software applications.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
• Understand and support existing systems.
• Code maintenance & bug-fixing.
• Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics.
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
• Present and implement developed software applications at client sites.
• Work with the BI team in data analysis and automation of the report generation processes.
• Work with product users to perform existing solution enhancements.
• Work with the support team to ensure quick resolution of system based customer and internal issues.
• Participate in continuous R&D.
• Contribute to technical architecture sessions and lead efforts to build and maintain a highly scalable
• software platform.
• Participate in system manual creation and code documentation.

Position Requirement

• B Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering Physics or similar degree.
• Experience in Java preferably SpringBoot and/or Kotlin for at least 1 year with a project or system to show.
• Experience in relational databases preferably Postgres and/or Oracle.
• Familiar with agile methodology.
• Experience in shell scripting & Oracle SOA & mobile development will be a plus.
• Ability to run test driven coding & work with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience in code versioning tools eg. Git.
• Must demonstrate willingness to learn fast.
• Must have good code documentation practices and skills.
• Able to work in a Linux based environment.
