National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi has walked back on his stand that Ward Representatives seeking higher elective positions must resign 6 months before the general elections. Muturi says he has consulted with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission and is in agreement with the position taken by the electoral body that MCAs don’t have to resign just yet.
