Speaker Muturi joins DP Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance

National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi on Saturday officially joined the Kenya Kwanza Alliance led by Deputy President William Ruto.

The development comes on the deadline for political parties to join coalitions ahead of the General Elections slated for August 9th 2022.

Speaker Muturi, who is the Democratic Party signed the agreement at a Karen hotel becoming the latest key leader from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Mt. Kenya backyard to join DP Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

Muturi had declared his interest to become Kenya’s fifth President after the Democratic Party endorsed his candidature.

Speaking after signing the agreement, Deputy President William Ruto said that it was monumental day after intense consultations between Kenya Kwanza and the Democratic Party team that led to the signing of our coalition agreement.

On his part, Speaker Muturi said he was happy that they have realized the dream of working together to build a better Kenya for our children and their children.

“There cannot be a Kenya for others and another one for us, we all belong and Kenya is bigger than all of us,” said Muturi.
