Student Kills His 50-Year-Old Father Over His Sold Cock – LitKenya

 A Form Three student has killed his 50-year-old father, plunging the sleepy Barotion Village in the Londiani area of Kericho County into deep mourning,

The villagers are still in shock after a row over a cock led to the son slaying his father.

The deceased is reported to have succumbed to the injuries that he sustained from a thorough beating from his son after he sold his cock without his conscent.

Confirming the incident, Chief Sarah Sigey said that a fight broke after the Form Three boy arrived home and confronted his father over his sold cock but he put him off.

Offended by his father’s action, the young man is said to have picked up a club, which he used to severely strike his father on the head.

Upon hearing commotion in the home, neighbours rushed to the homestead, rescued the 50-year-old man, and took him to Londiani Sub-County Hospital where he died.

The young man then surrendered himself to Londiani Police Station where he is being held awaiting arraignment.

The victim’s body was transferred to St Joseph Hospital mortuary in Molo as police continue to investigate the incident.
