Trade and Industry Cabinet Secretary Betty Maina has affirmed the government’s commitment to revive the Tana Delta Irrigation project in Gamba area of Tana River County. Once complete the project will benefit 35,000 residents. The CS, who said that the project is in lie with the government’s goal of attaining food security, challenged private investors to join the course. According to the TARDA Managing Director Liban Roba Duba, approximately 1.6 billion shillings is needed to revive the 76,000-acre Tana Delta Irrigation project.
