Throat Infection Threatens Nyashinski’s Performance at Destination Africa Concert

Famed Kenyan musician Nyamari Ongegu popularly known by his stage name Nyashinski has issued a statement concerning the much-awaited Destination Africa Concert slated to be on Saturday, 12th November.

Through his Instagram page, the ‘Malaika hitmaker opened up that he might miss the event despite being on the list of performers due to a throat infection that he has contracted.

“This one needs FAITH! I have had quite an exciting week with intense rehearsal sessions in preparation for Destination Africa Festivals.”

“Unfortunately, yesterday I developed an infection that has suddenly infected my throat and is threatening my performance,” said Nyashinski.

Nyashinski is expected to perform alongside Nigeria’s musician Adenkule Gold, Fena Gitu, Xenia Manasseh, and Otile Brown. Nyashinski had revealed that he will be the final act at the event that will be hosted at Ngong Racecourse.

“Back to work, and I’m energized for this one. Let’s go!!!”

“For those asking, Gaance ndio anafunga show.” He stated.

Singer Adenkule Gold has already jetted into the country and says he is ready for an epic performance. Taking to Instagram, Adenkule also known as AG confessed that ”Nairobi was treating him well”.

“Nairobi treating me real good!” He posted.

Since the lifting of the curfew, revelers have been treated with a series of big shows hosted within the country. Weeks ago Nigerian Afro-pop star Omah Lay performed at Pizza and Wine Festival held at Royal Gardenia Gardens Evergreen, Kiambu Road on October 30, 2021. Jamaican reggae sensation Etana also performed the same weekend at Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi.
