Elgeyo-Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen is a proud family man and showed as much by joining his wife in celebrating her big day.

Murkomen loves and adores his wife, Gladys Wanjiru, greatly. The vocal politician and former Senate Majority Leader, who is a lawyer, is married with two children.

Today, 16th August, the politician’s wife turned 40, and her loving husband was there for her.

Showering his wife with praise, he confessed that he had known the birthday girl for a long time.

“I have known you for 21 years. More than half of your life. You are my bosom friend, my confidant, and my soulmate,” he wrote

Revealing that his wife had turned 40, Murkomen insisted that she was actually getting younger.

“You turned 40 but to me your just 16. The fourth floor looks so good on you. The party has just begun.”

Then came the birthday wishes.

“The kids and I wish you a very happy birthday, darling,” he concluded

The two, who started out as campus sweethearts, have been married for 11 years and are blessed with two children, a boy, and a girl.

Murkomen once revealed that she would send him bus fare for him to go on their dates.
