TRADER DENIES DEFRAUDING COMPANY TV SETS WORTH MILLIONS.

A trader has been charged with stealing TV sets valued at Sh4.6 million.

Aman Mohindra allegedly obtained 42 pieces of 55-inch AIWA Smart Bass TV sets valued at Sh2,058,000 from Sameer Gulamabass Hussein Aetlantiq Group ltd. The court heard that he pretended that he was in position to pay for the television sets.

Mohindra allegedly ordered for the supplies of the TV sets on January 17 from Aetlantiq Group ltd offices in Embakasi, with intention to defraud.

The prosecution said that on January 20, with intent to defraud, Mohindra requisitioned for another 50 pieces 55-inch TV sets of Aiwa smart bass and another 12 pieces of 39 inches of Aiwa digitals bass TV. All the sets were valued at Sh2.6 million.

He denied the charges when he appeared before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Esther Kimilu and denied the charges.

He was released on a cash bail of Sh500,000.
