Netizens must be getting fed up with some Kenyan musicians’ clout-chasing to market their new songs. However, singer Otile Brown has proven to be quite different, as he is allergic to this tactic.

Four of his songs released in the past two months have amassed more than 10 million views. The artiste, whose real name is Jacob Obunga, has achieved this without having to seek undue attention from his fans. Nyashinski has also released songs with no ‘Kiki’ involved.

Afro-pop musician Nadia Mukami was elated today, 14th August, after her song hit 10 million views on YouTube. The fast-rising songbird revealed that ‘Wangu’ was her first song to garner such high viewership. She celebrated her milestone alongside former broadcaster Sanaipei Tande. with whom she collaborated on the song.

The Embu County brothers, who died after being arrested for allegedly violating the Covid-19 curfew, were finally laid to rest on Friday, 13th August. Both Emmanuel Mutura (19) and Benson Njiru (22) were buried in the same grave in their Kianjokoma Village home because of the love they had for each other.

A witness recalled that one of the young men was hit by a baton on the head. Unfortunately, as the brother tried to defend him, he also suffered the same fate. 

However, Kenyans on Twitter vowed not to rest until justice is done to the family by having the culprits brought to book.
