Tusker Beat Gor Mahia to Clinch FKF Super Cup

Tusker FC are the FKF Super Cup 2021 Champions after defeating 10-man Gor Mahia FC on post match penalties at the Thika Stadium on Wednesday, 22nd September.

The Green Army were beaten 8-7 by Tusker FC after a 1-1 draw in regular time to win the title.

Gor got their first goal on the 54th minute through Samuel Onyango by a penalty. Tusker’s Ibrahim Joshua equalized the goal also through a penalty in the 56th minute.

K’Ogalo’s defender Harun Shakava was sent off at the 62nd minute after a second booking.

The FKF Super Cup is the official curtain raiser for the new 2021/22 season.

The new FKF Premier League season starts on the 25th of September, with six matches lined up.

Tusker FC will start their defence to the title against AFC Leopards at Nyayo Stadium on 25th September while KCB will be up against Gor Mahia at Kasarani Stadium Nairobi.

Mathare United, who escaped relegation last season will be away to Bandari FC at Mbaraki while Posta Rangers will host Kariobangi Sharks at Thika Stadium.

The newly-promoted side Talanta FC will be up against Wazito FC while Ulinzi Stars face Nzoia Sugar.
