UEFA Champions League 2021-22 Round of 16 Draw: PSG to Face Man United

The UEFA Champions League (UCL) draw takes place at the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) headquarters at Nyon, Switzerland, on Monday, December 13.

According to UEFA rules, teams of the same national association cannot face each other. Moreover, clubs cannot face opponents who they played against in the group stages.

The away goals rule has been sidelined and a match that results in a draw after 90 minutes of playtime will head to an extra time which is usually 30 minutes. If the outcome is still a draw, the teams will engage in a penalty shoot-out despite the number of goals scored or conceded away by the teams.

According to the UCL draw which is still ongoing, Manchester United will take on Paris St Germain (PSG) in a much-anticipated match that is set for 15th February 2022. The match will see two legends, Messi and Ronaldo, clash in a move to win the prestigious UEFA title.

The pride of London, Chelsea, will face off League 1’s side Lille, Manchester City will play Villareal from Spanish La Liga, Liverpool will clash with Red Bull Salzburg, Sporting from Portugal will play against Juventus from Italy, and Bayern will battle out with Atletico Madrid. All these matches are first-leg meet-ups scheduled for play on February 15, 2022.
