Lille finds themselves going down now at the mid-table 23 points behind first-place Paris Saint-Germain. 

However, their form shows that title defense stopped a long time ago.

However, Lille’s local league achievements have not been as good as their Champions League exhibits this season.

The defending Ligue 1 champions have only survived to win 9 of their 25 local league games this season,  documenting nine draws and seven setbacks along the way.
