President Uhuru’s niece Nana Gacega has celebrated 21 years of sobriety from alcohol which she describes as the biggest decision she made in her life.
The Kenya International Conference Center’s (KICC) managing director is a champion against alcoholism and previously revealed to have quit the drink at 21 years.
Nana shared a message celebrating 21 years of staying sober and thanked everyone who had been of assistance in her journey.
“21 years ago today I made the biggest decision in my life which was to stop drinking. I just want to thank everyone who has been on this journey with me 21 years ago till today. Thank you for your support, encouragement and love,” she wrote.

Nana revealed back in 2018 that she was a recovering alcoholic on the Churchill Show saying it was one of her biggest challenges.
The proud mum said she would consume an entire crate of beer and a bottle of whiskey in a single day.
She took the opportunity to encourage those struggling to quit alcohol and facing difficult times in life.
