Unknown people break into Kisumu Governor’s home, steal clothes and food

Thugs break into Kisumu Governor Nyong’o’s home, steal clothes and food

Police in Kisumu are probing an incident where suspected thugs broke into the rural home of Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o in Ratta village, Seme sub-county.

Nyanza regional police boss Karanja Muiruri has confirmed the incident saying assorted clothes and food stuff were stolen.

Karanja says a team of police officers, led by area commander for Seme sub-county Hellen Rotich, has since been dispatched to the home to kick off investigations.

The police boss however says preliminary probe indicates that the matter, which was reported by the farm manager, could have been an inside job.

Karanja says police will record statements from persons within the Governor’s home, neighbors as well as officers guarding the home.

The Governor’s rural home is guarded by two police officers as a requirement for public officers of his caliber.
