Wanjigi nominates Lawyer Willis Otieno his Presidential running mate

Safina Presidential aspirant Jimi Wanjigi has nominated 39 years old lawyer Willis Otieno as his running mate for the August election.

Wanjigi unveiled his youthful running mate in a colorful ceremony at Ufungamano saying his ‘itwika’ moment is about changing a the current generation order.

“We don’t want to change the monkeys in the forest. We want to change the forest,” He said.

He said together they can deliver the Country from bondage through wealth creation by first addressing unemployment among Kenyans.

Wanjigi said Otieno has a passion for Socio-economic rights and community empowerment and his extensive political experience is a huge boost for him and Safina party.

Otieno who is the current managing partner at Otieno Ogalo advocates has keen interest in Governance issues especially those related to political and electoral process.

He has previously served in various roles at Transparency International and International Commission of Jurists.

He was also the head of Raila Odinga Presidential campaign secretariat in 2017.

Otieno welcomed the nomination saying time is ripe for young people to lead the Country forward.

“I fearlessly and courageously accept the nomination to be Wanjigi’s running mate. I trace my journey as a journey of faith, a journey that shows everything is possible and there is an opportunity for every young person in this Country,” He said.

He said it was an honour to be considered for the running mate position saying it’s an indication Kenya is heading the right direction.

“We have had political leadership that generally share positions among themselves. We stand here today when the problems of this Nation are more then they were 10 years ago. We must choose differently this time,” He said.
