Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has become the latest politician to claim that President Uhuru Kenyatta rigged the 2017 presidential election.

Speaking during the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) national delegates conference at the Karasani Stadium, Kuria disclosed that he was among the people tasked to help the President win the election by all means.

Kuria stated that they used unconventional ways to rig ODM leader Raila Odinga.

He assured Deputy President William Ruto that he will also help him trounce Raila through the same scheme.

“Let them not scare you that the election will be rigged. Those who helped Uhuru Kenyatta are in your camp now. We will do our magic like, especially in the Mt Kenya region,” he said.

Recently, Murang’a Woman Rep Sabina Wanjiru Chege was summoned by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) after she alleged that Raila defeated Uhuru, but he was rigged out. The case is ongoing.

Last year, Kuria, who is a data analyst, revealed that they make propaganda to discredit the former Prime Minister before the election to make rigging easy.

He mentioned that they use controversial political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi and bloggers to spread misinformation knowing too well that Raila was ahead of the pack.

“Our work was to cook propaganda and give it to people like Mutahi Ngunyi to disseminate it because we had to counter Raila. We introduced phrases like the tyranny of numbers,” he revealed.

These sentiments by former Jubilee Party insiders appear to confirm that the Supreme Court was justified to nullify the 2017 presidential election though Raila refused to participate in the repeat poll.
