The movie stars Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman.
Starring Robert Pattinson as the titular character Batman and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, the new movie about Gotham’s dark knight premieres Friday, March 4t, in cinemas across Kenya.
Tickets for the IMAX screening at Garden City and 3D screens across Nairobi are currently on sale for this weekend’s showtimes.
This last iteration by Warner Brothers pits Bruce Wayne against the Riddler played by Paul Dano and showcases the growing romance between him and Catwoman.
For fans of the DC comics, on which the movie is based, none of this information is new but it does offer an opportunity for DC and Warner Brothers to finally present a movie, an exciting iteration at least, that can compete at the cinemas against the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Pattinson takes over the mask from Ben Affleck who starred as Batman from 2013 to 2017. Although Affleck did play Batman in the Justice League Synder cut released in 2021, it was technically still shot in 2017.
The Batman has already received critical acclaim and its audience score on rotten tomatoes makes it the highest-rated live-action Batman movie.
The movie is directed by Matt Reeves and also stars Andy Serkis as Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as GCPD’s James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson, and Colin Ferrell as Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin.
