‘Where’s My Wedding Dress?’ 85-Year-Old Woman Finds Sweet Love in Man, 25

Happiness is an emotional state characterised by feelings of joy, satisfaction, contentment, and fulfillment. And age is just a number, they say.

An 85-year-old woman and a young man aged 25 years have shocked the internet after their extraordinary love story went viral on social media networks.

It’s typical on social media to see netizens screaming “couple goals” but on this one, they are mum.

What started as an ordinary relationship between a landlady and tenant has morphed into a serious romantic affair.

Muima, a university student, rented a house in one the towns in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and did not have any other intentions.

After staying in the house for sometime, the landlady whose name is Tereza started calling him “my husband”. He took it casually.

The old woman also began giving him fare to school.

“One evening I was alone in my house and did not have food. Out of the blue, she came to my house with something to eat and served me so lovingly. She also asked me to kiss her,” he said.

Their love story began.

One thing led to another and before they knew it, the two were deeply in love.

“I love him and he loves me. Old men had tried to court me, but they did not succeed. Muima was the lucky guy,” she said during an interview on Afrimax English.

With the same intensity, Muima loves his girlfriend and cannot imagine losing her despite being 85.

“She is my life. I hope she won’t die before me because I can commit suicide.”

Tereza is a mother of eight and blessed with 20 grandchildren, some of whom are older than her boyfriend. But that does not worry her. She loves Muima and only death can do them part.

The two are planning officiate their union in a church wedding very soon.

“I cannot wait to put on my wedding dress. I am asking God to enable us hurry the process and I’m not ashamed of anything,” she said, although some of her children have not approved the relationship.

Equally, many of Muima’s friends are not happy with his decision. But does he care?

“Before my affair with Tereza, I had tried relationships with several young women, but never worked. There were too expensive to maintain. At least, Tereza will not demanding money for the salon; you can see her hair is grey,’ he said.

The lovebirds kiss randomly and without fear.

I ask: What’s love? When I cross over to the next life, I will certainly ask my maker this question.
