KBC Kiswahili news anchor Nancy Onyancha got married to a colleague in 2018.
Her husband is special features editor Joab Mwaura.
The Darubini Wikendi news presenter is interestingly referred to by her hubby as ‘A Thing’.
This may sound disrespectful if literally understood, but is a sweet romantic name if well-explained.
Well, the proud hubby has today, 27th August, explained why he chooses to refer to his pretty wife that way.
The lovebirds are celebrating their third wedding anniversary.
Mwaura revealed that he has actually saved his wife as ‘THING’ in his phonebook.
He explained that his wife was a good friend who turned into a good thing for him, as it is put in the Bible.
“Today, three Years ago, Best Friend who turned out to be a good THING. Now you know why i have save you as “THING” in my phonebook❤️❤️. 🥂 to many more,” Mwaura penned down on her IG
The Shamba la Mawe YouTube show host promised his wife many more years of joy and happiness.
His wife for her part was grateful that together with her hubby they made a perfect match.
“People are weird. When we find someone with weirdness that is compatible with ours, we team up and call it love. @joabmwaura ❤️❤️❤️,” she wrote on her IG
She toasted to more years of fun.
“To many more years of chips mwitu😂😂😂” she added
However, her witty hubby had other suggestions.
“Lakini mutura ndio sasa inaweza😂,” he replied to his wife’s comment.
The two tied the knot in a lavish wedding that was only attended by close friends and family members.
They went public about their relationship a few months to their wedding.
Nancy and Mwaura’s wedding came about eight months after they held their ruracio (traditional engagement ceremony).
