Why Vybz Kartel’s sentence may be reduced

Adidja Azim Palmer aka Vybz Kartel was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2014 for the murder of his associate Clive Williams aka Lizard.

The Jamaican reggae and dancehall singer seems to have had victory at the Jamaican court of appeal after his years in prison reduced to 32 years and six months before parole.

A parole is the temporary or permanent release of a prisoner before the expiry of a sentence, on the promise of good behaviour.

If the parole is successful, the Jamaican star will leave prison in 2046 at the age of 70.

The summertime hitmaker continues to release music even in prison.
