Willy Paul Threatens to Quit Music if Album Backfires

It’s all fun and games for some clout-chasing artistes trying to push their content until they realise that the damage they caused is irreversible. One day ago, controversial musician Willy Paul, real name Wilson Abubakar Radido, shared a video that has since gone viral.

In the video seen by Litkenya.com, Willy Paul can be heard saying that he might be forced to quit music. This is if his upcoming album doesn’t change his life or change people’s perceptions about his life.

However, this public stunt would have sounded more genuine if it was coming from an artiste who has never ‘clout chased’ before. For the record, a week has not even gone by since he declared that ‘Gengetone was dead’. Only for his fans to realise later on that it was meant to market his Gengetone music.

Fortunately, his ‘threat video’ wasn’t accorded much attention. Since then, many have realised it’s the only way a few Kenyan musicians use to remain relevant.

The likes of Avril, Nyashinski, Otile Brown, and Chris Kaiga, serve as good examples in believing in talent and not these attention-seeking schemes.
